The kumato is also a very fast producer...10-12 weeks from germination to first fruit picking. We just save a few seeds from each crop, allow to dry out and plant in full sun. We've been getting 100% germination rate (usually within 5 days) for the last 2 years and they breed true. Each plant grows to about 6 feet and produces a phenomenal amount of fruit...about 60-70 per plant over 2-3 months.

Rare variety from Australia. We will say that this is a massive producer of 3-6 ounce fruits that are chocolate brown with deep orange and frosty green stripes. Their thick walls make them excellent keepers. These are great for the home gardener, but would be great for market growers as well.

Presumably a hybrid, although time will tell as folks that have might have saved seed are now likely growing them out to see what they get. Rosso Bruno being sold in the states is the same variety, marketed under a different name. A lot of hype and publicity surrounding this variety.
