To show how bad...Read More the conditions are, to dig a hole big enough for the plant, I had to chip out a very small hole, fill it with water, when it FINALLY soaked in, scraped the area out, and repeated the process several times (in 100 degree weather)! Obviously this area doesn't get watered much because run-off is terrible. I did mulch it a little with compost, but because of its location, most got washed away. As you can tell by the photo, it doesn't mind a bit!
