As w/most specimens of Amaranthus tricolor, this one is primarily grown for foliage impact. Will go to seed in fall. Seed for this mix is available from Renee's Garden as of the date of my entry and her description is as follows:
"a celebration of brilliant color for excitement in every garden. Easy to grow spectacular foliage in electric yellow, scarlet-orange, magenta and multicolor pinwheels."
I am curious if this variety can be used as a cut flower?
