I have seen one growing in Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas. This year, 2007, the fruit ripened in late August through the end...Read More of September. The branches holding overripe and unfallen fruit had lost all their leaves by the beggining of October. The tree looks a little bedraggled.
The Green is reported to be hardier than the Mamey but there is a Mamey just a few yards away and though it was not holding fruit it looked healthy.
