I...Read More was told that it liked dry feet and was very sensitive to over watering. I brought it home and put in water...7 months later I got 2 very thin roots. I waited another 2 months, but got nothing. I planted it...that was 14 months ago. The plant never got any larger, it was almost like it was dormant. About a month my hubby got tired of seeing the darn thing and took out to rest on my potting bench, he covered it with smaller pots, using it's large pot as a holder. A week ago I unearthed it, the original plant died off and a new, very healthy plant has grown up out the roots. I am very hopeful.

Found this plant as a surprise growing underneath a very large pecan tree. Flowers are 2 inches across and smell like lilac or hyacinth.
