Started from purchased seeds, I have plants growing in two different conditions.
1 - Planted June 1. In ground, sandy loam...Read More, supported by a small tomato cage. Plant is healthy and fruits heavily.
2 - Planted June 14. In a low-sided 10g pot. Bark-mix soil with 1c. worm castings. Once a week application of organic fertilizer and nutrients. Once a week application of 150ppm 20-20-20. CalMag foliar spray on 8-15. Plant is twined up a string that runs to a greenhouse bow 8' overhead. Healthy plant with heavy fruit set.
Both conditions have resulted in similar size plants and yields. I think the flavor is actually better on the container plant. Size of fruit averages 1.5" diameter. The jell has a zingy classic tomato quality while the meat is firm with an earthy, smokey tone....lightly sweet. Skin is moderately thick, not unpleasant.

It is already 6' tall and covered with more tomatoes than I know what to do with. Unlike most cherries, it has the salty, umami flavor of a slicer instead of the overly sweet taste. Was knocked down by a microburst, and bounced back like nobody's business. While I battle splitting with the black krim, the brown berries just keep pumping out small, meaty little globes of GOOD.
