The mother species is a big shrub about 8 to 10 ft high and I've only seen one, that was planted in the colonial area of Philadelphia. I am not fond of this species myself; it is alright. This creeping cultivar needs room to spread. I'm posting a photo of a few planted in a narrow parkway that the woman homeowner, a passionate gardener, removed after a few years because they kept spreading over the sidewalk so much.
