It blooms from Mid season...Read More well into the Latest of Very Late season, blooming longer than any other iris, historic or otherwise, we own. It is also about as true of a red/magenta amonae bi-tone you can get. Their is just something hauntingly beautiful and special about it. It just really stands out. Reminds me alot of 'Broadway Star' and 'Extravaganza', but more magenta red than purple red in overtones and with a white thin edge on the lower falls. People often mistake the Iris 'Shah Jehan' for 'Mildred Presby' which is much taller and much more common than Mildred Presby, but both are lovely. this tall height however of 'Shah Jehan' is how you distinguish the two apart. Just Beautiful!
