I grow it in a South facing room in full li...Read Moreght but shielded from the noon sun. It is in a 6 inch hanging pot suspended from a hook in the ceiling. We have year round warm air central heating so I check the moisture requirement every second day. It is fed at every watering with half strength hanging basket fertiliser (i.e. high potash).
In August I cut off the 8 most vigorous shoots 10 inches long below a node and root them in a jar of tapwater. The mother plants are put in the compost bin. In September I pot up the shoots in fresh soilless compost in the hanging pot and by mid December I have 8 or 16 pendant shoots 7 feet long trailing on the floor.
It never fails to create a conversation with visitors. I think it is the most beautiful houseplant on the planet. Even more so than my orchids.
