He says it was mature when he bought it and it even bloomed for him. The leaves don't look priatine, but I'm happy with having the plant to look at, it's still quite striking.
It's a little top heavy, so there's a prop under one of the substantial petioles. I addes three stakes on the outted perimeter opposite the prop and tied hemp loosely around the stem/trunk (I really need an anatomy lesson) and with slight tension pulling it back towards the center of the pot to help balance it better (less likely to tip forward).
I love being able to stand inside the canopy of leaves!
I just need some help with management practices such as repotting, propping or staking. Propagation. Diagrams of what is the corm, rhizome, etc. I've tried Google and it's not nearly as useful as when it was still just a search engine.
