Deliciosa also will have adult stage leaves approaching 4' in dia with many splits and multiple rows of perforations. Borsigiana leaves will rarely exceed 2' in dia at adult stage with a few splits and only a few perforations. There is very little stalk visible between the leaf nodes of Deliciosa. There is lots of stalk visible between the leaf nodes of Borsigiana, similar to most vining type philos.There is one dead give away to distinguish the two; at the tip of the leaf stem where the leaf begins, the stem is 'crinkled' or slightly 'winged' on the larger growing TRUE Deliciosa. Borsigiana does not exhibit this unique trait of Deliciosa. Deliciosa albo maculata is the only variegated form of the Monsteras that is different with the additional 'paint-splattered' type of maculated variegation overlying the 'patchy' or 'splotched' type of variegation normally seen in the other variegated forms of Monstera. Monstera 'Pertusa' is usually a name given to the juvenile form of Borsigiana when it is not allowed to attach and develop adult stage leaves.

This Monstera variety is highly useful for growing indoors as well as in the conservatory. It can also be grown outdoors in zones 10a through 11.
Like most or all spp. and varieties of Monstera genus, it is a vining variety.
