I grew this variety for the first time this year & was very surprised to find that the blooms, unlike other Amaryllis of the Xmas-blooming type, have a very faint honeysuckle-like scent. You really have to shove your nose in there - lol - but the scent is there.
All in all, a nice dependable performer. I bought my bulb locally, but it originally came from Van Bourgenion(sp?), which I know doesn't have a great reputation for mail-order bulbs, but whose bulbs have performed perfectly for me when purchased from the local Lowe's/Wal-Mart type places.
