I alr...Read Moreeady have lots of ripe squash and they're delicious with dense flesh. Be warned - it's almost as much of a spreader as Seminole pumpkins! It's not a maxima though; angled runners that aren't hollow, often white-mottled leaves, a long thin stem that flares where it joins the fruit, and large, leaf-like sepals, it's classic C. moschata. The fruits remind me a bit of a flattened "Futsu," but I like it even better. Definitely grow it if you have the room!
