This is a diminutive rose of Sharon and it is a fairly slow grower. Blooms later than my other RoS here in MO zone 5b, but is very hardy. Most of the time, I am closer to 6a, but this past winter I was closer to 5a.

The actual flower from the seed looks just like the parent plant but when I look here it said the seed will not come true to plant.. Maybe I lucked out but it looks just like it. I provided a photo of mine.. If anyone thinks it's not please let me know. I do trim all the branches down to about 2-3 inches from the ground and then in the spring I thin out the plant when it starts growing in order to keep it a neater look.
