I have planted 2 of these in my yard that gets filtered sun all day, with 2 large live oak trees shading them. They don't need much care, but did have to stake the younger one with our hurricane winds. Very easy to keep in shape and has an open growth habbit. Beautiful flowers always grab the attention of anyone who sees them. Doesn't really seem to need much attention in terms of water and fertilizer. Mine have never drooped or had any issues. During the brief freezes we have, the leaves shrivel up and may fall off, but it always shoots out more in the spring.
