This is actually one of the few primroses that naturally have white flowers. It is a very hardy species growing in cold, wet soils across northern Canada, Alaska, Iceland and Greenland. This one is challenging in cultivation and probably best enjoyed in the wild. This species was once part of the farinosae group, but together with a handful of other species, has been put in the Armerina group, as they lack the farina that is the characteristic feature of the farinosae primula.
