I have had no pest or disease problems with it, and it has done well in Houston heat. I have it growing in a container in my driveway, receiving about five hours of sun. It was one of the first plants to start blooming and setting, and it has continuously produced peppers over the summer - I would guesstimate that it is exceeding 100 pods, with basically every blossom setting. The plant itself is quite attractive, and the pods are pretty as well - starting pale yellow and turning to orange to red. Although some people have a purple splotched phase, the purple splotching on my peppers was minimal at best. The pods are approximately one and a half to a little over two inches in length. Although it can vary, my peppers were mild enough to eat raw, and I found they had a distinctive flavor. Due to its never-ending productivity, I've had to early-harvest many pods to keep the plant healthy during the heat, and I have had moderate pod-drop in hot weather (I would say 15 - 20% loss). If you have a brown thumb, I wouldn't hesitate to try this pepper. I think this is a fabulous pepper and will continue to keep it in my garden.
