The least amount of sun it gets, the better is does.
Planted one on the north side of our house, near the front door. It got no sunshine, no rain.
Every December we would notice a sweet fragrance, as we went in and out of the front door. They are still blooming now, in March.
(The yellow Winter Jasmine also blooms through the winter.)
The dark green shiney leaves look great all year.
I have many of these plants growing here in dense shade, of coniferous evergreen trees, here on Guemes Island, in the San Juans Islands of Washington State.
The Deer don't eat it, we have quite few resident Deer here. They browse our shrubs and sleep in our yard a lot.
The plants seem to have no pests, no diseases.
I am planting more seeds of this plant now.
