I w...Read Moreill change my experience to positive should it survive and do well here. We are currently unsure of how it will handle both our hot summers and growing past the amended soils and into the clay.

Current thought by the more professional is that it should do okay provided the soil is sufficiently altered for it to grow for several years without too much trouble.

Also, note that the un-pruned height is greatly determined by the rootstock used. Depending on the rootstock and pruning methods, this tree can be anywhere from 8' to 40' tall as a fruiting tree. There are dwarfing rootstocks available that allow it to be grown in a container as well as non-dwarfing roostocks that allow it to grow to a full sized tree.

Fruits resist cracking and are produced in late June.
