I tried to growing several specimens in Z8 and they just won't make it through the hot and long summer. Same applies to most cypresses. Please do not mislead people by making expectations that Mugo one will survive beyond Zone 7. It won't. Take your dead pine or cypress back to the chain store to send a message across so they stop scamming people.
