There is a gutte...Read Morer downspout that empties into the area, which is only about six or seven square feet. The plants have taken over and I have about 30 or 40 flower stalks every year. I have never divided or lifted the bulbs. The area only gets full-afternoon sun. The flowers are beautiful and last quite a while. After the plant fades in the Fall, the foliage needs to be cut back as it turns unsightly brown in the winter. I'm planning on dividing the plant later this year and spreading the bulbs around to other parts of the property.
