Daphne 'Lawrence Crocker'

This is a small rock garden plant. It hasn't gotten more than about 8 inches high for me after 7 years. Blooms once in spring for me, but...Read More does not rebloom here. I don't smell the flowers unless I get down on my hands and knees and sniff the flowers. Gets about 6 hours of late-day sun.

So far so good. Planted it from a fairly mature 2-gallon last fall (2010). It was about 10" dia. already, and still is. It's survived it'...Read Mores first winter in the ground in a northern exposure above the Castro, in among a bed of succulents, and this was a brutal winter by our standards.
It's just past the Equinox, and she's begun to bud!

(June 8 2011) Update: She's a goner. It's been cold, wet, foggy, rainy, grey constantly since first post. Constantly. In-ground drainage was too poor. She started dropping leaves during the budding, then the buds rotted. Wasn't appearing to recover, so pulled 'er today. Wish I'd kept it potted.
