It grows on a vine pole with a Walmart clematis. with no special care, and would grow taller if supported. Pipevine fritillary butterflies feed and lay eggs on it. The blooms form seeds but none have ever germinated for me. I understand they require a cool treatment at 40 degrees. It is a large leaved, vigorous vine and the blooms are unique but not showy. I plan to move next year and will make a point of growing it in the new location.
