O...Read Morethers referred to as witches broom category also include Koto no Ito, for instance. I grouped mine with two others for color in a triangle so eventually they will have their branches and leaves touch. I placed it with an Orange Dream and a Inabe Shidare in the triangle, and a Orido Nishiki back behind that you will see as a view through them. I have a 'thing' about wanting to see my maples in best color contrast through the various windows in my house so they are often placed for best window view as well. I love this one because it spreads well into an umbrella shape and you can sit out under it for a little shade in the heat. It has been extremely hearty without any help from me.
