The south is not the easiet place to grow Brussels Sprouts and it took a while to achieve any success, This cultivar never did particularly well and it was not until I discovered Prince Valiant that I had Brussels Sprouts worth bragging on. Like most of the open pollinated cultivars it has a bitter aftertaste until it is hit by a heavy frost.
