But the most compelling of its attributes is its ability to grow in complete shade. (Some say it will even grow in the dark). Here in Kentucky it is often found in deep dark hemlock forests. This is the plant for those dark corners or under dense shrubs where little else will grow.

Nice shade ground cover; spreads quickly, though I won't yet call it aggressive; nearly evergreen; lovely blue spring flowers.
