The next spring all six came up and bloomed but one had a badly malformed blossom. Next spring five came up and one of them had a deformed blossom. This spring (the next season), ONE (!) of them came up and its blossom is deformed. I expect this last one to disappear over the next winter and I will be replanting other hyacinths, perhaps Gypsy Queen or Yellow Queen in this area this fall.

Hyacinthus orientalis 'Odysseus' is a light salmon pink. It was introduced in 1983 by IVT. It bloomed for me in Zone 9 in early to mid March.
