Acer, Japanese Maple 'Shaina'

It is a beautiful dark red color now (April 2016) and the branches are lovely in the winter. The trunk is about 3 inches wide and leans a bit towards the sun. I replanted in a pot that is about 3 feet tall a few years ago. It has been the best tree for growing on my small condo deck. Because the pot sits behind a railing, the roots are sheltered and the upper branches have southern sun exposure. I'm on ground level with a grass lawn behind my unit. I'm sure to water regularly. Love this little sheltering Shaina maple!

Tried several times and this plant just dies in containers.
