My plants are growing as an informal hedge along the front of my garden! People are often put off growing Eucalyptus because they usually form large trees very rapidly. This need not be a problem if you 'tip prune' them regularly. This simply means pinching out the soft new shoots with your fingers. The stems respond by producing two new shoots, and you can keep the plant as a shrub five feet feet high It is said to be fairly wind resistant, but is only for the milder parts of Britain.

My plants were very slow growing at first, but are now (August) growing about 2" per week.
