A. jonesii is said to be hard to grow and harder to get to bloom in our area, and everyone I know of grows it in a trough or rock garden....Read More M first one, in mostly shade, died. This is on a ridge in full sun. I was told to give it a little fertilizer, so it got some fish emulsion last fall. It grows in lime, so adding lime chips to the soil was suggested, but I did not do this. It is tiny, so don't let it get overshadowed.
