I planted three seedlings three years ago...Read More, and it has spread nicely, completely filling some areas and creating a beautiful undulating texture. I do not mow it at all. The Cons: Same as the pros: it spreads. A lot. It has popped up about 50 feet from the original planting. However, the seedlings are easy to pull out.

I have it growing in balanced sun/shade next to palace purple heuchera and their contrast in color and texture really set each other off. It is a beautiful bright green. It arches over to the side, which I don't mind, but it you want a spikey grass, this is not the grass for you. It would be lovely growing as a groundcover on a slope as well.
