Greenhouse grown; day temperature of 25+celcius and night temperatures of 15celcius. Grown in pure living sphagnum moss. Keep consistently wet in bright-diffused to full light with humidity above 60% (although this plant has survived in lower humidity, forgoing pitchers).
My specimen is estimated to be upwards of 8 years old and every tendril develops into a pitcher. Pitcher production basically ceases in the winter months here in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, with rapid growth resuming in the spring.
For one reason or another, N. Truncata’s favourite meal is wasps. Every year when a pitcher is accidentally tipped over upwards of 70 wasps have spilled out. The syrupy digestive fluid in the pitcher is, truly, one of the most disgusting liquids on the planet!)
