Honestly have mixed emotions about this one. It grew well and the mature fruit looked like the description: very bright, colorful, eye-ca...Read Moretching orange (a little bigger than golf ball sized, maybe jumbo egg size is a useful comparison). In my opinion the culinary virtues of this eggplant are quite limited: way too small for most uses. Maybe kebabs on the grill although, as noted, you must harvest prior to the bright color stage in order to avoid bitterness (in which case I'd choose one of many other small eggplants for making kebabs). Certainly a nice ornamental and I might consider growing it again if I find I have lots of extra room in the vegetable garden for ornamentals (which I hardly ever do).
