The flowers range from a barely-pink to a lovely candy-pink, some with a stripe on the petals. I have never pruned it. It is supported by a 4' obelisk-type trellis and reaches just about a foot beyond the trellis' confines.
This clematis was previously placed in full sun, but the growth was stunted, the few flowers were colorless, and it almost died.
