And unfortunately, once the plant is sold by the hybridizer, he or she has no control over what the buyer does with it. It turns out that "Northport" bought directly from the hybridizer is a fine grower in Michigan but the ones grown from the tissue culture, like mine, are quite slow growers and hardly increase at all. I thought I was getting a bargain, but should have known, I got only what I paid for.
