Plants always solitary and get quite large for being a spotted, stemless species... supposedly up to 6' in diameter in the wild (from South Africa). Supposed to a plant that likes shade, but seems to be grown in sun all the times I've seen it and looks fine. Flowers are salmon-colored, and are multibranched on long racemes in early fall. The flowers themselves are tubuelar, about 1" long and have a curious lantern-like swelling at the base of each tube.
