I was a little more...Read More generous with the watering the first week or two after transplanting, but they have started blooming without issue. Seems like a pretty tough plant. Last year they bloomed all season long with deadheading and VERY littlle watering during our mostly dry, sunny summers. Gets late morning, all afternoon sun here. I would call the color more of a dark hot pink then red. Looks great with my intense dark purple caesar's brother iris blooming in the background.

Mine have tons of blooms. Thriving in zone 5b-6a in full sun, well drained location.
Short 12" - Plant 14" apart - zone 3-8 red/pink quarter sized double flowers with agua blue foliage. Scented blossoms. Drought and heat resistant.
