The upper part of the flower has the shape of fingers and puts me in mind of a decorative hat or headdress! Reputedly has a coconut scent ... I'll come back later on that one.
Flowers mainly during summer.
Loves a well drained but moist soil in light shade. Easy from seed, just sow in pots indoors in spring, cover lightly and keep at around 60-70F, they germinate in approx 2 to 6 weeks.
