I planted the seeds and was able to get three seedlings. Two bloomed early and were yellow. The last seedling bloomed “white” to my delight. In the meantime a seedling has come up where I had placed the pot with the original seeds. That has not bloomed yet. Recently, the temperature dropped to 46F and in the morning the plant did not look so well. By afternoon it rebounded. Keeping an eye on it to see if older leaves will drop. A young female iguana comes to feed on juvenile foliage and floral buds. Ugh!

During mid ...Read Moresummer in bright sunshine there was very little branch growth. It is now October and the plants are growing very well with a lot of flower buds getting ready to open. A real pretty bush/shrub/tree with lots of possibilities. We live in Zone 9A.

In full sun, it will sprawl out across the landscape (give it plenty of room) and can be easily maintained at a height of approx. 18". The bees absolutely love the nectar. Fresh seeds germinate readily.
