The combination is smashing - both are facing south. This is a rose that will tend to "bow" forward toward the sun but the effect is beautiful. This is a good rose to plant in a space where you want no trespassers - it is clearly thorny.

It isn't really perpetual, but does repeat bloom unlike the rest of its relations. VERY thorny, but the thorns aren't the great claws of modern roses, but slender prickles that still can hurt.
