This is a quote from his email, "I am calling it P. holtonianum but it may in fact be an un described species."
The plant changes dramatically as it climbs and becomes substantially fuller with a much thicker and wider blade and lobes. Until further scientific study is concluded, Dr. Croat does call the plant Philodendron holtonianum but only in the non-italicized form.
