I’ve planted T. ‘Daydream’ in 2007 in my garden and every spring it returns flowering in bigger clumps. So once planted it will perennialize very well.

It slowly changes to a pretty golden orange that is not overly bright or gaudy. Each flower, having opened at a slightly different time, has a slightly different color which gives the group a richly blended look.
It took me a little while to appreciate the wide-open, informal look of Daydream on very sunny days.

They are so delicate that wind treats them like rags and it does not take much to damage them. I'm sure there are better color-changing tulips out there with better petal substance.
