I planted a relatively small plant in a small corner of a planter box, and have been hacking it back ever since (use thick gloves!). Flowers are on long, sinuey racemes and not very showy for a Puya... thin pinkish flowers on the outside with dark purple to almost black tubular flowers on the inside.
