I have it growing in a nasty spot of full day hot Texas sun on a slope of broken up rocky limestone marl and caliche with a tad of grani...Read Morete sand and compost added and its has just made it through a summer and a winter with a 60 degree one day drop and it is now coming back strong. I am still waiting for its first bloom. It will get a bit of water this summer, but then it goes off the tit. Fingers are crossed. I have seen it growing in solid caliche north of here out in a field during a drought . I am hopeful that my brand of nastiness is similar.
