It also survived hosting a bird nest in it's pot for a season without trouble. Had to give it away before moving out of state but was happy to find another small one on the internet now that I'm back in Phoenix. Have had the current plant for over a year on an east facing patio and its doing great.

I can't remember whether I got it from the Huntington, The Los Angeles Arboretum, or some other plant sale in the area, but it has to be close to ten years ago that I bought it. Really a neat, odd and tough little plant, at least in my area.

Looks and feels like ru...Read Morebbery, grey sticks in fall, and develops these itty bitty geometric flowers then. the long, drooping, dead-looking branches drape over everythin nearby and look like they are going to take over the garden... but by mid winter to spring I have a hard time locating the original plant... and by fall I've completely forgetten about it when it starts to show up again.
