We ...Read Morehave Simmondsia chinensis as a hedge in a narrow bed between our driveway and a block wall. It is a very hot location in full sun and we water it only sporadically -- maybe 4 or 5 times a year. The jojoba thrives. We keep ours at about 4 feet tall, but it would get much taller if we let it. It trims nicely and forms a neat, dense gray-green hedge. Our hedge has both female and male plants.
