The edges are a purplish/maroonish color. The leaves have large similar colored (purplish/maroonish) large spines. The leaves are wide terminating in a wide upside-down "V". A very unusual and beautiful Agave which from afar resembles a variegated ornamental cabbage. A great container plant.
