Canna Lily 'Tropicanna Gold'

The flowers are sunny yellow, really brightening up and giving a touch of tropical feel to the area. In two years, the rhyzomes have more than doubled, and nicely filling up without looking invasive. The area is rather soggy, with almost cement-like soil with hardly any organic matter, but this canna is thriving (I did amend the soil a bit when I was planting them). It is also pretty drought-tolerant. Go figure, both drought-tolerant and wet-clay tolerant. Definitely great for difficult but sunny/warm areas.

Will try to save them for next years by digging them out in fall and preserving them indoors with our other cannas
