i enjoy not having to deadhead with these trailing petunias, but i don't like how they leave a big void in the center as they mature and lengthen. i now use another annual for the center and place the petunias around them. i pinch off the spent leaves to create a fuller plant and also i cut it back if it's looking bare or scragly.
