I put it in a little tight-fit area (like 4' x 4') and it hasn't outgrown it in the many months since it was planted, as opposed to the other firebush, which grows a foot or more and needs to be cut back at least monthly so I can walk by it, and under it! :)
The dwarf so far doesn't have the reddish tint to it's leaves.
